My Short Story...

For my class we are supposed to write a short story. My tutor told us to think of 5 ideas. These were the ones I came up with.
  1. The Conversion. It was a story that I started writing a while ago for another assignment. The main character was named Chelsea and she was a typical teenager. Her mom and dad broke up after her mom became a Christian. She ended up living with her mom and absolutely refused to listen to her mom witness to her. In the end her heart convicted her that she was a sinner and she repented and believed that Jesus Christ was her Savior.
  2. A girl who starts to write a book, gets frustrated, but in the end learns to persevere and she finishes her book.
  3. A girl who gets adopted and learns what it is like to be loved.
  4. A young man who got the latest movies, Cd's, phones etc. While the discontent young man keeps on buying all these new gadgets, his house burns down, along with all his stuff. The lesson he learns is that you are only on the earth for a short time and that you should store up your treasures in better things.
  5. A boy absolutely hates living with his family. He has younger twin siblings and he thinks his parents rules are to strict. One night he wishes that he lived with a different family. The next morning his wish was granted. He wakes up in a different family.
When I got to class two Fridays ago, each of my classmates read their five ideas. So far here are the stories that my six classmates are going to be writing about(or at least what I can remember:).
  • A girl who helps save her elderly neighbors farm by entering in a fair. She ends up being able to save the farm.
  • A girl who either travels around the world or she goes to Europe and sees where her grandparents lived.
  • A princess who does not want to get married, so she plays pranks on them.
  • A gang member who becomes a Christian doesn't want to steal anymore because he knows it is wrong. The only problem is that his leader says he will track him down and kill him if he tries to leave. Will he make the right choice?
  • An aviator who lives during WWII or a aviator who found a journal of somebody who lived during WWII as an aviator.
  • A story about a soldier who fought alongside George Washington. It comes from the soldier's point of view.
All my classmates said that I should write a story about the boy who didn't want to live with his family. This past week my assignment was to write a description of the setting where he lived. Here is what I have so far:

Palm trees waved in the soft wind almost as if they were welcoming you into the little town. Houses lined the sides of the streets. The windows peeked out into the street, which wound its way to the main street. Little shops were cozily nestled side by side.

This week I am going to be writing about the main character. If anybody has ANY suggestions or if you think of any creative titles, please feel free to leave a comment.

Expect more updates on my story. Good-bye for now!
